Andrew Symonds has been involved with Pilgrims' Friend Society from a very young age. His earliest memories are of singing in the "wards" at the Brighton Home in the late 1940s in the run up to Christmas. His parents were both involved in the Brighton Home - his mother as Lady Visitor and committee chair, and his father as home committee chairman and later a long-serving trustee of Pilgrims' Friend Society.
His great-grandfather, William Falkner, was a trustee in the 1920s, while his wife was a Lady Visitor at the Camberwell Home.
Andrew has been a trustee since 2003. A former chartered Quantity Surveyor and project manager in construction, he lives in Cuckfield, West Sussex. A member of Cuckfield Baptist Church for nearly 60 years, he currently serves as a Deacon.
