Our values are at the heart of what we do at Pilgrims' Friend Society. They guide the way we think, inform the way we face the world, instruct the actions we take and define the work that we do.
Compassion
Compassion is at the centre of how we engage with older people, guiding every interaction and inspiring us to serve with genuine care. Compassion motivates us to serve older people, relieve any discomfort we can, and build loving relationships based on empathy and respect. We get alongside people, showing grace to those who are struggling, and take action to ease people’s burdens. We are also committed to finding new ways to care well for older people as they, or their circumstances, change.
Community
Community is vital for human flourishing, fostering the strong connections that enable people to thrive. We priortise building community, understanding that older people do well when they interact with others, enabling them to live happier, healthier lives. We are a community of people who share life together, celebrating victories and supporting each other during challenging times. We’re also committed to building relationships with the wider community, sharing what we do and our vision for the future.
