Games galore

Emmaus House, Whitehaven, enjoyed an afternoon of laughter, friendly competition and togetherness during a fun-filled Games Day organised by Activities Coordinator, Leanne

The event featured a game of darts and a catch the stick challenge, with ‘family members’ (those who live with us), enthusiastically taking part and cheering each other on. Every successful throw and catch was met with smiles, applause and plenty of encouragement, creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the home.

The activities provided a fantastic opportunity for residents to stay active, enjoy some friendly competition and spend quality time together. They also brought families into the fun, making the afternoon even more special.

Family member Sheila summed up the day perfectly, saying: "That was really fun day of fun."

Bill, another family member, also praised the event, adding: "I really enjoyed the activity."

Leanne, Activities Coordinator at Emmaus House, organised the Games Day as part of the home's varied programme of activities, which are designed to promote wellbeing, encourage social interaction and create meaningful moments for family members.

The afternoon was a wonderful reminder that simple games, shared laughter and time spent together can create lasting memories. Everyone left with smiles on their faces, looking forward to the next opportunity to enjoy another fun-filled activity at the home.
