How volunteering works at Pilgrims' Friend Society

In each of our care homes, we have an Activities & Community Engagement (ACE) Facilitator. Our ACE Facilitators build a team of volunteers and connect with the community.

There are lots of ways to get involved as a volunteer- you could help with activities like arts and crafts, cookery, and armchair exercises. If you're a Christian, you could also take part in our devotions by giving a short Bible talk, leading a prayer time, or leading hymns. There are many ways to use your gifts to support the spiritual life of our homes, such as sharing your testimony or offering to pray with one of our family members.

We understand that our volunteers come from all walks of life, and that the level of commitment each person can offer will differ. Our ACE facilitators will work with you to find the volunteering opportunity that's just right for you.
