KEYNOTE ADDRESS - Reverend Mark Wormell on faith and dementia

PANEL DISCUSSION with Pippa Cramer, Pastoral Lead and Seniors Minister at Holy Trinity, Claygate, Timothy Agbenike, Operations Manager for Pilgrims’ Friend Society, and Alex Huggins, Chief Executive of Faith in Later Life, will explore questions around church ministry, dementia, evangelism, and care.

SEMINARS - Choose between sessions on dementia care led by Reverend Mark Wormell, church-based ministry among older people led by Alex Huggins and Pippa Cramer, and end-of-life care led by Lucy Honeysett.

Mark Wormell

Lecturer in Ministry with Seniors at Mary Andrews College, Sydney, and author of Coming to Christ in Dementia. Mark will give our keynote address focusing on the theology behind his book, exploring faith and dementia and drawing on deep pastoral and practical experience with examples and stories.

As part of the day, Mark will also give a seminar on Christian care for people living with dementia covering: visiting people living with dementia; running church/chapel services for people with dementia; the role of music in dementia care.

Pippa Cramer MBE

Speaking on the church and older people, Pippa brings vast experience through her work with Daily Hope and Connections.
